Where to place review QR cards: counters, tables and receipts

Practical QR placement for Bangladesh’s restaurants, shops and repair businesses, including print checks and delivery packaging.

Match the invitation to the customer’s last step

Put the review invitation where a customer has finished receiving your service and has a moment to respond. For a home décor store, that may be the checkout or a care card inside the bag. For a mobile repair shop, it may be the device handover. In a café, a small counter card can work alongside a receipt. Choose one clear location first, rather than covering every surface with codes.

Give each QR a single, clear purpose

Keep a review QR separate from a payment QR or menu QR. Label it with a sentence such as ‘How was your experience?’ and identify the business. A customer should know what will open before scanning. A readable link below the code gives them another way to reach the page if their camera cannot scan it. Keep the code large enough for its placement and leave its clear border intact.

Use tables and counters without adding clutter

A table card should be visible while seated and easy to move closer. At checkout, keep it away from the payment terminal so customers do not confuse it with a payment request. For shops and service businesses, a card beside the collection point can be more relevant than one at the entrance: visitors have not experienced the service when they first arrive. Staff can briefly point out the card, then let the customer decide.

Receipts and packaging need a real print test

A receipt has less space than a counter display. Print one sample and scan it before changing the whole batch. Faint thermal printing, folds, tape, oil and condensation can make a code difficult to read. On delivery packaging, use a flat, dry area and avoid the opening seam. Include the business name and the purpose of the QR, so someone unpacking the order understands the invitation later.

Separate Google reviews from delivery-order reviews

ReviewBondhu currently opens Google reviews after customers check their draft. Do not label that QR as a Foodpanda or Foodi review link. Delivery platforms may require the customer to use the account and order that received the delivery. Before adding another destination, test its actual review process. A restaurant listing link is not proof that a customer can immediately submit an order review.

Check before reprinting, and after changing a destination

Scan a card from its normal viewing distance under the lighting in your business. Test more than one phone, open the final Google destination and verify the branch name. For multiple locations, label and store each print file separately. Keep a spare printed card for testing after menu or profile changes. A card is ready when the entire customer journey works, not simply when the QR scanner recognises a URL.
